On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, Paris didn’t just shine through its landmarks. It pulsed, it sweated, it cheered, and it ran. Yes, it was the grand return of the Paris Marathon (Schneider Electric), that legendary event that makes the heart of the capital beat faster each year (and not just the runners’ hearts).

And as always, Hôtel Le Marianne was right at the heart of the action, welcoming marathoners, supporters, and lovers of Paris… with legs a little less heavy, but memories full to the brim.

One city, thousands of runners, one finish line

This 2025 edition brought together over 50,000 passionate runners from all over the world. Some came to beat their personal bests, others to check “Paris Marathon” off their bucket list, and many simply to live this unique collective experience—part athletic challenge, part joyful celebration.

Once again, the course offered a guided tour of the city’s most beautiful spots: a grand start on the Champs-Élysées, passing through Place de la Bastille, the Bois de Vincennes, Notre-Dame Cathedral, along the Seine quays, and finishing triumphantly on Avenue Foch. All under a lightly overcast sky, with the perfect running temperature hovering around 14°C—cool enough not to melt, just right to fly.

Champions at the top of their game

On the podium, it was a showdown of titans. In the women’s race, Ethiopia’s Bedatu Hirpa triumphed in 2h20’45”, narrowly beating her compatriot Dera Dida in a breathtaking finish. In the men’s race, Kenya’s Benard Biwott devoured the kilometers in 2h05’25”, ahead of Ibrahim Hassan (Djibouti) and Sila Kiptoo (Kenya). Jaw-dropping performances… and honestly, they help us feel a little less bad about our 4h58.

The vibe? Pure magic.

What truly makes the Paris Marathon special is its crowd. Thousands of hyped-up spectators, neighborhood bands, cheers in every language, and signs that are as absurd as they are motivating (“You pay to run?!” or “Only 37 km to go—easy!”). A one-of-a-kind atmosphere—festive, electric, and full of heart.

And of course, the costumed runners: one Pikachu, two unicorns, a glittering Eiffel Tower… Paris just wouldn’t be Paris without a touch of madness.

And after the finish line… a little comfort at Le Marianne

Because after running 42.195 km, what you really dream of isn’t a trophy. It’s a hot shower, a soft bed, and a quiet spot to kick off your sneakers (and tend to those blisters). That’s where Hôtel Le Marianne comes in.

Just steps away from the Champs-Élysées, our hotel proudly welcomed many marathoners looking to recover in a chic, intimate, and cozy atmosphere. Whether for a relaxing moment in our hammam, a revitalizing breakfast, or just to snap a selfie with your medal in front of the room’s mirror (we’ve all done it), Le Marianne was the perfect post-marathon cocoon.

So… same time in 2026?

The shoes are off, the muscles are relaxing, but already the urge returns… To do it all again. To run Paris once more. To feel that thrill.

So here’s the official word: we’ll see you next year—laces tied, hearts ready… and come sleep with us!

You run, we’ll handle the rest.
